Ag day photo comp flashes new award

“We’ve decided to bring in a people’s choice award for 2026, as well as having a dedicated video category,” Mr McIntyre said.

“Ag day is about loudly celebrating our farmers, and what better way to do that than with a people’s choice category.

“Our farmers work incredibly hard, but it’s work that’s largely done out of the public eye.

“The theme of this year’s ag day is Our Farmers, Our Future, but photo and video entries can speak to any element of rural life.

First placed photo and photo and video will each receive $2000.

Meanwhile, three runner-up photos will receive $500 and the people’s choice photo winner will receive $500.

Entries close at 5pm on National Agriculture Day on Friday, November 20.

Entries can be made via www.agday.org.au/photography-video-competition
