Another spectacular show in Rochester

Rochester A & P Association Inc secretary Maxine Weigand said they were happy with the turnout and response from attendees.

“The feedback's been positive and kind of given us the impetus to do it again.”

The fun began on Friday, February 27, with gates opening at 5pm and plenty of activities and food trucks to feed attendees on offer.

Kevin Wilson’s working dog demonstrations were a highlight of the first night, with onlookers marvelling at the skill and teamwork between Mr Wilson and his dogs.

Ms Weigand said it was amazing to see how many kids attended on Friday night.

“The Natimuk Show (association)... were there Friday night, and they were blown away by the numbers that we had and, also, the number of kids.

“They said (we’ve) really got a good future for the show... (we’re) seeing another generation coming through.”

Patrons also enjoyed the show and shine, mechanical bull rides and the Palmer Agricon Beef Spectacular before the night closed with a bang as fireworks filled the night sky at 9pm.

On Saturday, February 28, the fun continued with a petting zoo, wildlife display and camel rides.

There was even more animal fun as the horse show, poultry competition and dairy and beef cattle show were held throughout the day.

Ms Weigand said the association was grateful for the community’s continued support.

“We’d just like to really thank the community for continuing to support us,” she said.
