The ecumenical service will be hosted for the second year by Benalla’s Anglican, Uniting, Baptist and Salvation Army churches.
Although Benalla Anglican Reverend Melissa Clark said, other churches are more than welcome to get involved.
“It began last year that we decided, as the ministers group, that we would have an ecumenical service,” Rev Mel said.
“And it was really beautiful, so we've decided to do it again.
“We'll come together to sing some songs and say a couple of prayers and reflect on how lucky we are to be in this beautiful place.
“And we'll do that as the sun comes up, at the first light of Easter Sunday.”
All the churches taking part are also involved in the Benalla Homelessness Response Group’s night shelter - and there will be a collection raising funds for the group at this service.
“We’re going to raise some funds for them as well,” Rev Mel said.
“So we're looking after community as well as celebrating Easter together.”
Rev Mel said it’s nice for all four churches to come together for the service.
“We all have different ways of doing things, but at the end of the day, we're all celebrating as Christian groups, we're all celebrating the same thing, and that is the resurrection of Jesus,” she said.
“So it's a nice way to remind ourselves that we are actually doing the same things.
“We're actually a community of people who want to be together for these amazing celebrations.”
The service will take place next to Lake Benalla, near the art gallery, from 6am on Easter Sunday.
All are welcome.
