The crowd at Euroa Showgrounds was up by more than 1400 people on last year, with 170 entries from across the country, including one woman from Katherine in the Northern Territory.
A total of 18 events were held through the evening, with entertainment provided by Wangaratta’s Jade Gibson.
Euroa Apex Pro Rodeo president Steven Hill said the committee was overwhelmed by the turn-out and support.
The committee extended a special thanks to its sponsors, Euroa police and the more than 50 volunteers at the event.
‘‘We had a lot of volunteers saying ‘put me down for next year, I’ll be back, I had a great time’. It’s great to live in such a supportive community,’’ he said.
‘‘We’ve received a lot of feedback from people within our local community who are happy to see a different event held in Euroa — something that’s a bit different which draws different crowds from near and far.’’
