Georgia, the 2025 Deniliquin Young Woman and a Zone 7 Regional Young Women finalist, was one of 14 finalists from across NSW competing in the AgShows NSW Young Women Competition.
The Deniliquin CWA provided $1000 in sponsorship to assist with accommodation, clothing and fuel costs, reinforcing a long‑standing partnership with the Pastoral and Agricultural Society of Deniliquin.
CWA Deniliquin branch president Millie Blight said the support extended beyond financial assistance.
“The Young Woman Competition develops confidence, leadership and strong community engagement at a state level,” Ms Blight said.
“We feel it is our responsibility to support our young women and help ease some of the financial pressures that come with representing Deniliquin at this level.”
Ms Blight said the initiative also strengthened ties with the agricultural show movement.
“This initiative strengthens the historic relationship between the CWA and the show movement,” Ms Blight said.
“We are proud to stand beside the Pastoral and Agricultural Society of Deniliquin in encouraging the next generation of rural leaders.”
Georgia will be recognised locally when she attends the CWA marquee at the Deniliquin Racing Club’s Anzac Day Races later this month.
