From his early days managing a sales territory and launching the first commercial bio-tech crop in central NSW, to leading cross-functional teams behind some of Australia’s most impactful product launches, Darren’s journey reflects his commitment to agricultural innovation and sustainable growth.
Darren brings a blend of agronomic credibility and strategic marketing expertise.
His previous roles, including key leadership positions at Monsanto, AgNova, and AlgaEnergy, have seen him successfully drive product strategy, and deliver measurable growth across both countries.
“I have been working with Darren for a very long time, it started when he was employed by AgNova our current Metarex Inov and IronMax distributor,” De Sangosse ANZ general manager Romain Broch says.
“His professionalism and experience were a great asset in the launch and development of Metarex at the time,” he says.
“It was a no brainer to ask Darren to join the team and use his expertise to continue the expansion of De Sangosse through the launch of bio solutions.”
Darren says he is excited by the opportunity to be at the forefront of biological solutions to agricultural challenges,.
“Biosolutions are an important tool to shape the future of farming,” he adds.
“They align with grower demand, regulatory direction, and our shared responsibility to care for our cropping land.”
Looking ahead, Darren is spearheading the launch of innovative bio-solutions products in the next 12 months.
These launches, potentially targeting both broadacre and horticultural markets, will harness global R&D and local insights to deliver value to growers.
“What appeals to me most is seeing biological innovation move from niche to mainstream,” Darren says.
“Our new product pipeline is strong, and I look forward to working closely with our distribution partners, agronomists, and growers to bring these solutions to life,” he says.
As the bio-solutions category continues to grow in relevance and scale, Darren’s appointment to this newly created position reflects the importance De Sangosse places on the future of the category.
