Elmore Field Days kick off

The annual Elmore Field Days got off to a good start in mild weather on Tuesday, attracting thousands of people.

Field fays president John Giffin welcomed the clear skies and fine weather.

The event is powered by hundreds of volunteers from the Elmore district who give up their time and take annual leave from their regular jobs to help out for the week.

The Health Hub, operating out of the Bendigo Bank Pavilion, proved popular with patrons, who lined up for skin checks, blood pressure tests and other services.

The Elmore Field Days continue on Wednesday, October 8 and Thursday, October 9.
