Billed as an agricultural innovation and media event, Farm Smart will bring together industry leaders, innovators and media professionals to explore how emerging technologies and digital tools are reshaping the way agricultural businesses operate and grow.
A key focus of the event will be the rapid rise of artificial intelligence in how customers find and choose businesses.
Google's AI overviews now answer search queries directly, bypassing traditional search results, meaning businesses that aren't cited as trusted sources inside those AI answers risk being overlooked entirely.
Country News's DominAIt placements, developed through parent company McPherson Media Group, are designed to ensure local businesses are recognised by AI as credible, validated sources, putting them in front of customers at the moment they're making decisions.
Guest speakers will also cover politics, social media, digital marketing and the evolving role of local media in supporting regional business growth.
Country News editor Geoff Adams has been reporting on agriculture for 50 years.
He said the event would reflect how dramatically the digital landscape has shifted for agricultural businesses.
“Farmers have a record of incorporating new technology into their businesses, this may just be a continuation of that trend,” Mr Adams said.
“Agriculture is so important for this region, and the whole state, contributing over $20 billion annually. This celebrates that, while creating space for businesses to grow.”
Registrations are open now, with places limited. Light refreshments will be provided.
