Greater Shepparton City Council is reminding parents and guardians to register their three and four-year-old children for kindergarten in 2027.
Registrations can be made via the council’s website and first round offers will be released from Friday, August 7.
Various kindergarten services are available across Greater Shepparton with different locations and times to suit individual needs.
Director healthy communities and liveability Briana Baass encouraged families to research which service would best suit their child’s needs.
“Parents and carers can visit council’s website to find out more and to secure their child’s place in kindergarten for 2027,” Ms Baass said.
Families will be allocated a place with a service provider in line with the Access Criteria Guidelines.
Three and four-year-old kindergarten is free or low cost for families that meet the eligibility criteria.
If your child attends a kindergarten program in a long daycare centre, fees may still apply.
