'Gerty' the GoPod is a new arrival, and the smallest of the fleet options.
When Donna Taylor launched Edward River Caravans and Camper Hire five years ago, it was a side hustle passion project that would take her away from the day-to-day of her working life.

It was born out of her own love of travel, and it seems to have resonated with so many others.
So much so, it has become Donna’s day job ... but also still her passion.
With the most recent arrival of ‘Gerty’ the GoPod, the Edward River Caravan and Camping Fleet has grown to nine options.
“That means we’re now about on par with other, larger, regional centres like Ballarat and Tamworth in terms of our fleet size,” Donna said.
“That’s massive considering our population is only about 8000 people.
“We’ve got everything now, from tiny and compact right through to an apartment on wheels.
“At 42, I was tired of the push and thrust of corporate life, so I took a leap of faith, left my job, bought a caravan and set off on a six-month journey on my own.
“I was on the road road for more than two years, and worked for Maggie Beer in the Barrossa for six months, before I landed in Deni.
“As my experience grew, so did my fleet. As an avid traveller and camper, my goal is to help others get out into the great outdoors and experience our own backyard.”
Available starting this month, ‘Gerty’ is the most compact of the fleet’s hire options.
GoPods like ‘Gerty’ are the perfect hassle-free solution for those who want to experience the great outdoors in comfort and style.
They offer all the features of a conventional caravan in a compact, lightweight and easy to tow package.
‘Gerty’ weighs less than 700kg and doesn’t need an electric brake controller, so is suitable for most cars.
Features include a comfy queen size bed, rear kitchen with cooktop and sink, an Engel fridge, awning and a smart TV.
The other caravan and camper options in the fleet can cater for between two and six people, and most are pet friendly meaning your best friend can travel with you.
