Lions Club of Tongala member Murray Ross said the group had transformed an old kiosk into a life-size gingerbread house display.
“It is the old kiosk. We have refurbished the outside of it so it is a life-size gingerbread house,” Murray said.
The Campaspe Shire contributed to material costs for the project.
“The Campaspe Shire helped with the costs of the materials. The Lions Club of Tongala put it together and the Lions Club designed it,” Murray said.
“It will be a gingerbread house until the shire want it back to be something else. We have made it pretty secure and it is going to be on display until something changes.”
Community response has been overwhelmingly positive.
“We have had a fair bit of community support, people are happy with it and everyone has been very positive,” Murray said.
