Some of the changes include expanded course offerings being available at both TAFEs, including GOTAFE delivering four courses at Wodonga TAFE campuses, and Wodonga TAFE delivering two courses at GOTAFE campuses in 2026.
The intent to merge was announced in May, and has been confirmed after endorsement by the Victorian Government of the board-led initiative.
The two brands will continue to operate in the community, ensuring students and industry engage with the organisations they have relationships with.
Joint Wodonga TAFE chief executive and GOTAFE acting chief executive Phil Paterson said students remained the focus, with exciting opportunities for 2026 and beyond.
“The coming together of GOTAFE and Wodonga TAFE is producing tangible benefits by combining our skills and expertise,” he said.
“The amalgamation strengthens opportunities for community and industry across our broad geography of northern Victoria.
“We are ready for 2026 with more courses, more choice and more opportunities for our students, industry and community.
“This is a great sign of things to come for students and industry partners across our combined region.”
