Grants to help Australia Day events

In Tatura, a $3000 grant will go towards an event that includes “award presentations, festivities and celebrations of the Australian way of life”. The Tatura Australia Day Committee is the grant recipient.

A grant of $1400 to the Kiwanis Club of Mooroopna will support the Mooroopna Australia Day event, which includes a flag-raising ceremony, entertainment, live music, key note speaker, sausage sizzle, GV Vehicle Drivers Club classic car display and presentations of awards.

Arcadia’s Australia Day event received $500 to support a community breakfast and the Toolamba Lions Club will use a $1000 grant for the Toolamba Australia Day awards ceremony and community barbecue.

The grants were noted at the December council meeting.
