Kevin Hicks Real Estate offered up five farm properties to a crowd of about 50 people at the Kyabram Club.
The first lot, a 192 hectare property in White Rd, Kyabram, saw competition from three bidders and was initially passed in at $2.4 million. It sold later for $2.45 million.
Another property, also on account of the Kilter group, and in White Rd, Girgarre, with two houses, sold for $1.2 million. The 60 ha property has an irrigation layout and lock-up shed.
A 52 ha property in Peppertree Lane, Kyabram, was passed in at $600,000 and has a reserve of $700,000.
A 464 ha Rendells property in Mason Rd, Girgarre had three bidders but was passed in at a bid of $4.3 million. It was back on the market at more than $5 million.
A 52 ha property in Peppertree Lane, Kyabram, was also passed in.
Auctioneer Kevin Hicks said the need for forage was driving some of the demand for good cropping properties.
