Greater Shepparton City Council is hosting these events to shed light on the Goulburn Valley Designated Area Migration Agreement and its potential to bolster local workforce needs.
Sessions will be held in Cobram, Echuca and Shepparton.
These sessions will provide insights into the recent updates to the GV DAMA, including new occupations and concessions tailored for local industries.
Additionally, presentations will be given by the Department of Home Affairs, the Victorian Government, and VETASSESS, followed by a Q&A session.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali encouraged businesses in the Greater Shepparton, Campaspe and Moira regions facing workforce shortages to attend.
“The GV DAMA is a tailored migration program that is helping regional employers attract and retain skilled workers,” he said.
“These information sessions are a great opportunity to hear directly from key government representatives and receive practical advice about how to access the program.”
