Deputy Nationals leader Bridget McKenzie and Shadow Assistant Minister for Rural and Regional Australia Lisa Chesters are set to debate rural issues at a forum in Kialla on Monday.
The free forum will be held at The Woolshed at 7719 Goulburn Valley Hwy, Kialla on Monday, May 6 from 6.30pm.
Hosted in conjunction with the National Farmers Federation, VFF president David Jochinke said both women will discuss their vision and ideas for agriculture and regional communities.“Agriculture is the backbone of rural and regional Australia. If regional candidates want to deliver for their constituents, they must deliver for agriculture,” Mr Jochinke said.“These forums are important opportunities not only for voters to learn more about the candidates, but also for the candidates to listen to the interests and concerns of voters. “Many rural voters have tuned out from politics so these events provide a great opportunity for re-engagement and we encourage all community members to come along and put their questions forward."
