The session will be delivered in partnership with VicSES, Goulburn-Murray Water and the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority.
It will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 6pm at the Bunbartha Recreation Reserve, 10 Loch Garry Rd, Bunbartha.
There will be a focus on understanding warning messages, their meanings and familiarisation with the flood levels and flooding patterns specific to the riverine area.
All residents are invited to attend with no need to RSVP.
Murray Darling Association conference
The Murray Darling Association will host its 79th National Conference in Murray Bridge, South Australia, on September 27 and 28.
The conference will feature Federal Environment and Water Minister Tanya Plibersek, Murray-Darling Basin experts, water users, irrigation and industry heads, CSIRO and Bureau of Meteorology representatives, Federal Shadow Water Minister Perin Davey and Murray-Darling Basin Authority CEO Andrew McConville.
The Murray Darling Association is the peak body organisation representing and advocating for the needs and interests of more than 164 local government areas across the basin.

Grants open for show societies
The Victorian Government has launched the latest round of the Agricultural and Pastoral Society Grants Program, offering grants of up to $10,000 to eligible projects.
The grants will offer agricultural and pastoral societies the opportunity to upgrade or establish new facilities, while creating opportunities for further collaboration and partnerships with businesses.
It will also offer these societies the opportunity to elevate their event planning and encompass innovative ways to engage people at regional shows including online livestock exhibitions and the integration of virtual technology.
Eligible projects for funding can include improving showground amenities like fencing and shade covers, or further enhancing on-farm biosecurity planning.
Applications close on Friday, October 13.
