Miles Brennan will take over from Jim Cooper as managing director and chief executive officer of biological agriculture company Terragen.
Terragen chair Travis Dillon said Mr Cooper, who had been in the role since June 2020, had been instrumental in devising Terragen’s “strategy for the development and commercialisation of biological products in agriculture”.
Mr Brennan has been Terragen’s chief financial officer since August 2021.
He has 20 years’ experience in senior finance and operational roles with consumer goods companies including Red Bull UK, Fosters, Treasury Wine Estates and Simplot Australia.
Terragen develops and markets biological products for agricultural applications.
Each product uses a unique combination of naturally occurring live microbe strains selected to help boost the productivity, welfare and resilience of farm production animals and to address soil health.
Hidden gem is ready for visitors
Thowgla Falls near Corryong.
A hidden waterfall nestled in the heart of the Upper Murray has emerged from the ashes of the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires.
Thowgla Falls, on Marginal Rd in the Thowgla Valley, near Corryong, is now more accessible to visitors following the construction of a new walking trail and viewing platform.
The works, which were completed by Forest Fire Management Victoria crews and local contractors, also includes a day visitor area and toilets.
“The fires helped expose this natural site, which was previously inaccessible due to dense forest surrounding the waterfall,” FFMVic Upper Murray district manager Dave Jenson said.
“In addition to Thowgla Falls, several other sites including Walkers Lookout, and historic huts such as Wheelers Creek Hut, Gibsons-Pinnibar Hut and Ski Hut have also been rebuilt following the fires.”
