Beating out more than 100 industry heavyweights – including Coles, Lion, T&G Global and Transport NSW – Nutrien Ag Solutions was celebrated for its retail operations with targeted solutions and an innovative mobile strategy which empowers its network of more than 700 locations across Australia.

Through the rollout of SAP Fiori on SAP business technology platform (BTP) and the Mobile Start app, Nutrien has delivered real change across branches:
- Staff can instantly access real-time stock and pricing information on their phones.
- Purchase orders can be reviewed and approved on the go, ensuring there are no holdups for branches or customers.
- Sales transactions and administrative tasks that once took minutes now take seconds.
Robert Payne, east region director at Nutrien Ag Solutions, says the new system has been a game-changer for customer service.
“From a branch perspective, Fiori has been the best technology development in recent memory. Processes which once took numerous steps and several minutes are now completed in seconds, giving staff more time back to focus on clients,” he adds.
The success of the Australian implementation has drawn international attention, with Nutrien’s North American Retail team now adopting elements of the program.
IT retail senior product manager Emily Benham explains having clear goals and collaborating closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and partners, we were able to deliver a seamless experience.
