In his role Ian has provided consistent leadership and a clear strategic focus, guiding AgLink Australia through a period of significant growth while maintaining a strong commitment to members, suppliers, and the broader agricultural industry.
He was also instrumental in establishing AgLink International in 2019, which has grown into a six-member global organisation representing 115 independent agricultural retailers across 17 countries.
Ian’s contribution to AgLink extends well beyond his time as chief executive, having been part of the network for 34 years, working with Serve-Ag, a foundation member of AgLink Australia for 25 years before taking on his current role.
He was also a valued director of AgLink for seven years while with Serve-Ag.
AgLink chairman Andrew Maughan says Ian’s “depth of experience and knowledge of agricultural retail has been invaluable to the organisation over his time”.
“While stepping down as chief executive, Ian is not expected to leave the AgLink network entirely,” Andrew explains.
“He will continue his involvement with AgLink International, supporting its ongoing work and global engagement,” he says.
Ian will continue in the chief executive until the end of July during which time he will assist with the transition and onboarding of the incoming chef executive to ensure continuity and stability for the organisation.
