For 149 years, the show has been a platform for local producers to measure their stock, skills and produce against their peers.
This year will be no different, with cattle, sheep and poultry sheds expected to be packed as breeders put forward their best animals.
The Boer goats competition and the mini horse, ponies and pintos competition, are also returning.
Livestock judging continues to be a drawcard, offering a chance for farmers to showcase the results of their breeding programs while connecting with fellow producers.
Beyond the pens, the show pavilions will once again highlight the region’s deep farming roots.
From wool and grain to preserves, baking and farm crafts, the competitions reflect the diversity of skills that sustain the Goulburn Valley.
A new addition to the show is the dog high jump, where three classes of dogs (under 50cm, under 60cm and over 60cm) compete.
The Shepparton Show will be on Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11 at the Shepparton Showgrounds. For the full schedule and entry forms, as well as online ticket bookings, head to sheppshow.com.au
