Students, staff and proud families assembled for the annual badge presentation ceremony at the Cobram and District Specialist School this week.
Before classes got under way on Tuesday, February 18, over half a dozen students received their leadership badges.
Two new school captains, Jack Jenvey-Burke and Sam Donnelly, were named, while the school welcomed six new house captains and vice-captains.
Principal Leah Willis said the conferral of leadership roles provided her students with a chance to represent the school in community events.
“It gives the students some purpose of leadership,” Ms Willis said.
Student leaders must possess a range of leadership qualities, Ms Willis outlined.
“They’ve got the social skills to be able to be able to stand up in front of the local community,” she said.
“They also respect our school values and show leadership across the school.”
