Run by the Grains Research and Development Corporation, about 70 people attended the event to hear from guest speakers Chris Warrick (Primary Business), Tim Haines (Farmanco), Dale Grey (Agriculture Victoria) and Brad Knight (GeoCommodities).
Mr Warrick spoke on the topic of grain storage options and explained how growers could develop marketing and operational practices that put more profit in the bottom line, while Mr Haines discussed farmland investment and the options farmers have at their disposal.
Mr Grey told the room about seasonal forecasts and how they are predicting a drier than average spring, and Brad Knight gave an update on grain markets and examined the key decision points that were important to the success of grain marketing.
