The event was sold-out with 108 guests in attendance, all with a keen eye on the fashions on show — all of which were available to buy.
Waminda Community House manager Leeane Bullard said everyone in attendance was enjoying a delicious afternoon tea, catered by Benalla Bowls Club, where the event was held.
“We’ve got four volunteers doing the fashion parade, four of our people,” she said
“The clothes are by You and I Fashions, who have come up from Melbourne.

“We’ve just had our lucky door prizes, and every table got a prize.”
Ms Bullard said the event was supported by a $1500 grant from Benalla Rural City’s Social Inclusion Action Group.
“Tickets were only $10 each, so we don’t make a huge amount of money from this,” she said.
“So the grant was great. We also had some terrific donations from local businesses for our raffle.”
Ms Bullard said the event had grown every year.
“We’ve got some people here today who are coming for the fourth time,” she said.
“And the beautiful thing about this is we have lots of tables that are people who have never met each other before.

“It's an opportunity to come out, make some friends and have a great afternoon.
“We’ve got many people here that just came on their own.
“They’ve been able to sit on a table and have a natter with people they’ve just met.
“And there there are some ladies here who catch up every year at the high tea.”
Ms Bullard said any money that was raised went back into Waminda’s community projects.
