Where and when to vote this election day

On Saturday, November 26 community members will decide whether the incumbent State Member for Murray Plains Peter Walsh will be elected for a sixth consecutive term.

Six contenders will attempt to unseat the state National leader, double the amount that challenged Mr Walsh in the 2018 election.

Vying for the top spot is Damien Hurrell of the Australian Labor Party, John Brownstein of the Australian Greens, Cameron MacPherson of the Family First Party, Katia Bish of the Freedom Party of Victoria, Glenys Leung of the Animal Justice Party and independent Andrea Otto.

None of the candidates disputed Mr Walsh’s seat in the previous Murray Plains election.

In terms of the order of the ballot, Mr MacPherson (Family First) will appear at the top, followed by Ms Bish (Freedom Party), Mr Hurrell (ALP), Ms Leung (Animal Justice Party), Mr Walsh (Nationals), Ms Otto (independent) and Mr Brownstein (Greens).

Voters will be able to flock to the polling booths from 8am to 6pm on Saturday.
