Episode three began with Farmer Tom taking the five women to his shearing shed, where they each got a chance to got their hands dirty.
Although he did say he’s looking for a wife not a farmhand, one of the ladies, Emmie-Rose (squats girl from last week), was hesitant to participate.
The next day saw the four farmers take two women each on a double date, but there’s a twist.
At the end of the day, they each have to send one of the two women home.
The morning was a little different for Farmer Tom, as two ladies decided to pack up and head home without a goodbye.
So, Tom is off the hook as his double date turned into a double ditch by Emmie-Rose and Bridget. What a shame.
Farmer Tom may not be looking for a farmhand, but Farmer Jarrad definitely is. He got the ladies working, moving sheep into another paddock.
Who needs a sheepdog when you have five women contractually obligated to spend time with you?
Now, onto the double dates.
Corey chose Rosie and Hunter, Jarrad chose Maneesha and Brianna (his cousin?), Thomas chose Nat and Clarette and Tom didn’t have to choose anyone.
The double dates were fine, so I’m just going to speed run some things.
- Hunter had a chat with Corey where she asked if he thinks she’s “too loud”. He said he doesn’t like people who overpower a conversation and in a confessional said that he’s glad he could give her that reassurance.
- Rosie cried.
- Jarrad said that he wanted a woman who loves the country.
- Thomas was there, a little less awkward than last week though.
Okay. So, who went home?
Well, at the dinner it was hard to ignore the fact that Farmer Thomas only had four lady guests, but in the promo, the vanished woman has reappeared, so don’t know what’s going on there.
Thomas said goodbye to Nat, Jarrad to Maneesha, and Rosie had another cry and quit before she could be fired.
Episode four was largely boring, really, until the ladies and farmers all went to a rodeo.
This is where everything really kicked off.
Claire questioned her feelings for Thomas after finding out he’s kissed other birds on a show where he has to kiss other birds.
Farmer Jarrad continues on his kiss-less dry spell, but Corey more than made up for it, pashing Chelsea and then Keeley quite soon after.
Farmer Thomas had a cheeky kiss with Clarette, again.
Then, the most heartbreaking scene I’ve ever seen on a reality show played out.
The break up of Thomas and Claire. She was tapping out, and Thomas saw a future together.
He watched the wife the farmer wanted slip out of his hands. He placed flowers on the grave of what could have been. And Clarette is dancing on said grave.
Thomas and the other farmers then had to pick a potential wife for a solo date.
Thomas chose Clarette, Jarrad chose Ash, Corey chose Chelsea and Tom chose Georgie because his dog likes her.
That pretty much wraps up most of episode four, as to be honest, the rodeo footage was, at times, way more interesting than the ladies having a chat and the boys having their show mandated ‘bro time’.
But then there was the classic “next time on Farmer Wants a Wife”.
The farmers will take their ladies of choice on a ‘spectacular’ solo date.
Farmer Thomas recovers from the loss of Claire, but can Clarette fill that void?
It looks likes two more ladies will be leaving and one farmer “will make a drastic decision”.
On to the rankings.
I’m going to be honest, Corey is in the naughty corner because of one clip in particular.
As the ladies were pouring wine, he said, “no catfighting girls, please — don’t need any drama” when the ladies were all just chilling. Come on, man.
- Farmer Thomas (broke my heart).
- Farmer Tom (unproblematic cutie).
- Farmer Jarrad (a neutral king).
- Farmer Corey (If I could put him lower, I would).
Country News reporter Djembe Archibald will be keeping a close eye on Farmer Wants A Wife as the romance and drama unfold each week.
