One farmer got a wife just six episodes in, while others can’t decide which girls to send home.

Episode five of Farmer Wants A Wife started with the solo dates teased in the previous episodes, and really there’s not much to report.
Jarrad and Ash had an ‘American in the 1950s’ style date, with a bit of baseball, a diner dinner and a jukebox jive.
Corey took Chelsea off-roading which seemed like the most boring date ever, so we’re just going to skip right past it.
Thomas took Clarette to an oyster farm where she pointed out oysters and champagne are an aphrodisiac, which was very subtle.
Tom and Georgie went to a creek for a bit of a swim, where Tom put on the big moves.
He gave her a bracelet with a dog charm to remind her of her dog, Trevor.
He seems like a simple man — all he needs is a wife who loves dogs, and honestly, I respect it.
At the end of the day, the farmers had to send one woman home.
Tom is first to decide, which I was confused about because he had one less woman than the other farmers.
But he still had to, and cutie patootie Tom decided to send no-one home, which calmed everyone’s nerves.
Farmer Corey didn’t follow suit and said goodbye to the lovely Hunter.
Thomas was also not ready to say goodbye to anyone, so he kept everyone at his farm, which Clarette didn’t seem too happy about.
Farmer Jarrad said he was tossing up between saying goodbye to country girl Lucy or maybe-cousin Bri.
Tears in his eyes, he waved goodbye to Lucy, and returned to the table before dropping a bombshell.
Lucy wouldn’t be alone on her journey home. He waved goodbye to maybe-cousin Bri.
He’ll see her at the family reunion, so it’s more of a see you soon.
Episode five ended by teasing that Jarrad had made another decision. He had found his love and was ready to get married.
Episode six started with an announcement that the girls would all be writing their idea for a date anonymously, and the farmers would pick the idea they wanted and go on that date with whoever wrote it.
Tom went on a creative painting date with Eliza, Corey played darts truth or dare with Jadee and Thomas got a very awkward massage and had a (clothed) bath with Ellen.
As Jarrad is done with dating and is packing up with his wife and riding sheep into the sunset, he didn’t have a date.
Instead, he had to meet the parents. Of both women.
After some terrible editing and three too many ad breaks, it is revealed that he has chosen Chloe to be his wife and was sending Ash home.
So I guess that’s the end of Jarrad?
To be honest, the most exciting part of this episode was the preview for next week.
A brand new group of women will be meeting the farmers.
Will they be swayed? Will they stand strong on current connections? Will Farmer Thomas be just as awkward?
But that’s not all, a new farmer will enter the show — farmer Jack, of Tasmania.
Also, Corey’s girls have a bit of a cry, Thomas hurts Clarette and Tom is a gosh darn cutie the whole time.
Okay, onto the rankings.
- Farmer Tom.
- Farmer Jarrad (for being true to his heart).
- Farmer Thomas.
- Farmer Corey.
That's all, folks.
