It is also a big day for the home club who are celebrating their Ladies Day from 2pm to 6pm as well as holding a Bogan Bingo event from 6.30pm.
The club is also coming off a competitive outing at Berrigan on Sunday, which was embodied by the senior football side’s nine point loss to the Saints.
Blighty kicked more goals than Berrigan with an accurate 13.2 compared to the Saints’ 12.17.
Blighty senior football coach Dane Leyden said the team showed application and effort throughout the entire match.
“The team played a much more consistent four quarters as well as making the most of our opportunities in front of goal, which kept us in the game right until the end.
“It’s always pleasing to feel like you’re in the contest throughout the day.”
Leyden said he is confident in the team’s game plan, which he hopes they can implement against their opponents.
Picola United will be buoyed, coming off a 37 point win against Mathoura.
“We’d like to come out hungry and play our game against Picola.
“It starts with work rate around the contest and build off our tackling pressure.
“We have a couple of outs, but also a couple of ins; a little more depth this year is always nice.
“I think we need to play four quarters of football and be on the same page with our play as a side.
“Again, without bringing the pressure, it’s hard to get the desired result.”
