Three under-17 players again featured for Kyabram as it fell to Echuca in round 15 of its Goulburn Valley League netball season.

The Murray Bombers, among the league’s top three sides, were favoured to win against the Bombers at Echuca South Recreation Reserve.

Echuca pulled no punches from the get-go, taking a 13-1 lead after six minutes.

Trailing 53-8 at half-time, Kyabram was held to two goals in the third quarter as Echuca kept up its defensive intensity.
The Bombers’ best period came in the final 15 minutes, where Emma Quinn’s side held Echuca to its worst attacking quarter of 21 goals while netting five at the other end.

Jazmin Clark, Stephanie Iskra, and Lara Cunningham were Kyabram’s three goalscorers on the day, netting seven, seven, and one, respectively, in the loss.

Clark was also named the side’s best on via the Bombers’ Facebook page, with the former Tongala player having a strong year after returning to Ky in the off-season.
Kyabram has three matches left in what has been a challenging 2026 where development has taken priority over results.
