The local duo earned the nomination after both claimed silver medals at the Australian Bowls Open on the Gold Coast.
Boswood finished as the runner-up in the under-18 boys’ singles event.
He negotiated his round of 16 and quarter-final ties with ease before being pushed in the semi-finals, though still prevailed 21-18.
That set up a decider against Harry Coleman from Deer Park, which Boswood only trailed 18-14 after 20 ends, but went on to lose 21-14 to claim the silver medal.
The accolade for the Ky native follows a boys pairs title at the Bowls Victoria under-18 state championships in April.
Parsons finished as runner-up in the under-18 girls’ singles event at the prestigious tournament.
Her run in the knockout phase was challenging, starting with a narrow 21-19 victory in the quarter-finals and followed by an even tighter semi-final that the Moama Steamers bowler won 21-20.
In the final against Annabelle Teague from Merrylands, NSW, Parsons at one stage trailed 14-6, but she slowly walked down the deficit.
The duo was deadlocked at 20-20 after 27 ends, with only one shot required from either player to take out the title, which the NSW bowler produced to win 21-20.
The silver medal for Parsons follows a women’s triples title she played apart in at the Bowls Victoria state championships in April.
