The 2026 Murray Bushrangers Coates Talent League final squads have been released with a strong representation from Corowa Rutherglen in both the girls’ and boys’ teams.
Local talent featured in the under 18 girls squad are sisters Latoya and Crystal Holdsworth along with Penelope Bruce, Abbey Ibrahim and Ebony Chapman.
The initial pre-season squad for the girls was made up of over 60 under-18 girls from the broad Bushrangers' catchment zone with 40 being chosen for the final squad.
The Under 18 Girls first game will be on April 11 against Greater Western Victoria Rebels in Bendigo.
In the 16 Girl’s squad Kaity Ford, Lilyana Murray Wright and Ruby Newton were selected from the Corowa Rutherglen Roos.
For the Under 18 boys, local Emmett Northey was picked in the final 2026 squad which features 44 of the best young footballers from around the Goulburn Valley, Southern NSW and North East Victoria regions.
The Under 18 boys first game will be on March 22 against Gippsland Power in Dingley.
In the under 16 Boys Squad Will Forrest, Tommy Kafarela and Will Massey were selected in a 25-player squad.
