Fresh off the sprint at the Bendigo regatta, Julie Underwood competed in the Masters single scull while the mixed crew of Lachie Seymour, Elizabeth Sandow, Nick Wragge, Imogen Wragge and coxswain Edie Tomlinson took on the time trial course.
The unique format had the crews starting in the Goulburn River while competing the last 2.0km over the rowing course.
The mixed crew were off first with a strong display by the rowers while under the guidance of Edie, working through the field to record the fastest time to claim the win.
A fantastic opportunity for father daughter combination Nick and Imogen to have their first race together.
Julie lined up against a strong field featuring five scullers. Julie worked hard to keep pace with the leaders before a misaligned corner allowed the field to close the gap.
With a strong finish over the final course, Julie finished in third place setting a great time.
A fantastic result by both crews representing the club as the crews now hit the water for some hard work on the Murray River and plan the regattas for the end of 2025.
The start of 2026 will see the club co-host the 160th MRA regatta with Rutherglen Lake and Wahgunyah Rowing Clubs on January 10 and 11 at Lake Moodemere.
