The trainers, whose stables are adjacent to the Echuca Racing Club, have a little home town advantage with easy access to the racecourse, and say the track is looking good a few days out from the meeting.
“It's looking good,” Mick Johnstone said.
“We worked on it yesterday and it looks a picture and feels good when you're galloping on it, so hopefully if we get rain, we don't get too much.”
At the time of writing, race fields were still to be finalised, but the stable has a strong field of runners nominated.
In the 1000m maiden, Gravitational Girl and Sundering Shadow look in good form after a jump out at Wodonga last week, which Gravitational Girl won.
Wayne’s Dream may look a little uncomfortable at the distance, preferring a longer trip, but will hope to adjust to the 1000m.
In the 1200m maiden, La Shadow ran third at Deniliquin last start and looks in decent stead, while The Old Man is set for its first start off a spell.
Later in the day, in the benchmark 56 1400m, Larza City is backing up off a win at Deni, while Here Comes Wozza should look more comfortable at the distance after shorter runs in recent starts.
In the BM56 1600m, Mutsuhito also comes in with good form, picking up a win at Manangatang at its last start.
Race fields are set to be finalised on Friday.
“Hope the club gets a good crowd, it's a lovely day and, hopefully, we can get a winner out of our runners,” Johnstone said.
