The entire team were outclassed by the rampaging Roos, with Ruby Svarc showing some glimmer of hope in the third quarter, kicking a classy goal, one of Brisbane's two goals for the entire match.
The pair were unable to have the impact they had in the Brisbane Lions’ epic preliminary final win over Carlton at Brighton Homes Arena the week before, with Ruby producing a standout best on ground performance.
Cathy was able to rack up another seven tackles, trying to nullify the Roos’ classy midfield in her seventh appearance on the big stage.
The two-time premiership player (2021, 2023) has now accumulated 84 AFLW games and is expected to play on into her eighth season.
The sisters grew up on their family farm outside Corowa with their three siblings, playing a wide range of local sports.
Both are also well known for their stellar A-Grade netball careers with Corowa-Rutherglen.
