The club announced that Marty Hore has signed on with the yellow-and-black for the 2026 campaign after he was delisted by Melbourne following the 2025 season.
Hore was drafted by the Demons with the 56th overall pick in the 2018 national draft and played 20 games for the club in his four-year playing stint in the AFL.
The top-flight defender originally played for Leitchville-Gunbower before his AFL career and also spent time with the Bendigo Pioneers as a junior.
Hore’s best season in the top flight was his first. Back in 2019 he played 14 games and averaged 16 disposals, five marks and 1.5 tackles.
He missed the next two seasons before being delisted in 2022 and 2023 and spending time in the VFL.
Hore managed to fight his way back on to an AFL list at the end of 2023, suiting up for the Demons in six games, but injuries prevented him from playing any further.
Now finding a home at Moon Oval, Hore will be a key cog in Rochester’s bid to go one better next season after falling just short in the GVL grand final against Kyabram.
