A protest rally against the Murray-Darling Basin Plan will be held in Tocumwal tomorrow (September 5).
The rally will be held at the Tocumwal foreshore from 11am.
A number of politicians were invited, with Victorian State Member for Shepparton Suzanna Sheed and NSW Member for Murray Helen Dalton attending but others such as Federal Water Minister David Littleproud, will not attend the protest.
"I have other matters to attend to," Mr Littleproud said.
"I'm going to be up in Queensland inspecting the damage from the monsoon last year.
"I welcome the rally. That's the beauty of living in this country.
"Democracy is a wonderful thing where people get to demonstrate their point of view and I respect that.
"I wish them all the best."
