Water summit at Moama

Water trading co-op Waterpool is hosting a water summit where key policy, market and industry information from government, investors and corporate entities will be presented.

“Currently, there a lot of commentary in the water space, some accurate, some not so accurate, and it's Waterpool's intention to provide factual information from a number of exports,” Waterpool chief executive officer Peter Lawford said.

Key speakers will represent the ACCC, Victorian Water Minister Lisa Neville, Murray-Darling Basin Authority, water investors, and the almond, table grapes and horticulture industries.

Also speaking will be Hilary Johnson from the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder, and Beyond Blue ambassador Brad McEwan.

“We urge irrigators to take up the opportunity to be fully informed on both government initiatives and corporate industry involvement in the market and water delivery,” Mr Lawford said.

“We are very fortunate to get a number of high calibre speakers in the same room at the same time.”

The water summit will be held on Wednesday, November 20 at Moama Bowling Club, 6 Shaw St, starting at 9.30am.
