On Thursday, December 15, northern Victoria resource manager Mark Bailey announced the Goulburn and Loddon systems increased from 100 per cent of HRWS and 77 per cent of LRWS to 100 per cent HWRS and 100 per cent LRWS.
The seasonal determinations in the Murray, Broken, Campaspe and Bullarook systems all remain at the maximum availability of 100 per cent HRWS and 100 per cent LRWS.
“Releases to manage the water level in Lake Eildon continued during November and into December,” Dr Bailey said.
“This will cause about 110 gigalitres to be deducted from Goulburn spillable water accounts, equivalent to 100 per cent of the total volume.”
Dr Bailey said this was the final seasonal determination announcement for 2022-23.
“As all systems have the maximum seasonal determination, no further resource assessments for 2022-23 are required,” he said.
“Any resource improvements in the coming months will contribute to reserves for 2023-24.
“Risk of spill announcements will continue to provide updates on trade opportunities from NSW to Victoria.”
