The Learning Management System allows users to browse and complete courses, manage learning accreditations and find out more about Agriculture Victoria’s programs and upcoming workshops.
Agriculture Victoria’s eLearning project manager Kellyanne Harris said the platform provided a convenient and flexible way to access training, which could connect users to the wide range of resources available.
‘‘The Agriculture Victoria Learning Management System uses online technology to enhance the training we offer, enabling farmers and service providers to improve their knowledge and skills at a time and pace that suits them,’’ Ms Harris said.
The platform is being launched with a farm business eLearn course, incorporating key points from the highly popular Young Farmer Business Bootcamps.
‘‘The farm business eLearn assists those new to farming to understand the basic concepts of profit, cash and wealth to assess farm business performance, help farmers grow their business, and have confidence that there is a future in agriculture for them,’’ Ms Harris said.
Upcoming courses include programs on farm water, giant pine scale awareness, and responsible pet ownership.
