Experts from the diverse fields of geology, conservation, botany, biodiversity, ornithology, ecology and ichthyology will share their knowledge at the Under the Microscope forum in Euroa later this month.
Strathbogie Ranges Conservation Management Network’s Alastair Tame said the forum would be a terrific opportunity to find out more about the region’s unique natural assets.
‘‘We all know that the Strathbogie Ranges are a remarkable part of Australia but what exactly happens underground, in the creeks, caves and hills — all those dark and difficult to reach places?’’ Mr Tame said.
‘‘Our guest speakers will shed some light on just what is going on and this is an opportunity for anyone passionate and curious about the Strathbogie Ranges to learn and interact with some of the finest academic minds in their respective fields.’’
Speakers include Chris Tzaros, Tim Dombrain, Joshua Hodges, Bertram Lobert, Janet Hagen, Tamara Morgan and Professor Neil Phillips.
The forum is free and will be held at the Euroa Football Club rooms on Thursday, June 27 from 10am to 3pm. Lunch is included.
