G-MW seeks customer input

Rural stores, bakeries and main streets will be the domain of Goulburn-Murray Water staff during the next few months as the water corporation gathers input and ideas on major initiatives.

G-MW’s strategic engagement executive manager Ann Telford said new projects would focus on the long-term future of the region.

‘‘We’re developing our next Pricing Submission which will determine the fees and tariffs we charge customers over the next four years, from 2020. These are regulated by the independent umpire, the Essential Services Commission, to ensure they are fair, reasonable and have benefited from customer input,’’ Ms Telford said.

Drop-in days, workshops and several two-day summit meetings with customers will be used to gather in-depth input into the Pricing Submission.

‘‘In the lead-up we are conducting a short survey and gathering feedback by talking to our customers during their regular interaction with G-MW, via our website or by having a conversation in the places where they live, work and shop,’’ Ms Telford said.

Your Say@GMW is aiming to have more than 2100 conversations with customers to get first-hand feedback on what activities G-MW should start doing, stop doing and keep doing.

‘‘These 2100 conversations, which represents about 10 per cent of our customer base, will also gather feedback on any other issue of importance to our customers and stakeholders,’’ Ms Telford said.

G-MW staff will be at locations across the region, including Boort, Kyabram, Pyramid Hill, Tatura and Tongala, from Tuesday, May 28 to Friday, June 7.
