The US pop superstar's Harlequin soundtrack album, which is nominated for Best Traditional Pop Album at next year's Grammys, is comprised of alternative versions of the tracks from 2024's Joker: Folie à Deux (2024), in which Gaga portrays the DC Comics character Harley Quinn.
The concert was performed at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles on September 30, 2024.
Gaga said she chose Christmas to share the concert film with the rest of the world as it's "the perfect time to release something rebellious".
Speaking in conversation with the Grammy Museum, Gaga said: "I'm feeling like: Why not? We have this thing that's so special to us, so we're just really happy to share it with the fans.
"It's kind of a rebellious project. And, by Harlequin standards, Christmas is the perfect time to release something rebellious."
The performance includes rock covers of That's Entertainment, If My Friends Could See Me Now and When the Saints Go Marching In, as well as the original song Happy Mistake.
Gaga was accompanied by a six-piece band for the set.
The concert film will premiere on Gaga's YouTube channel.
