Since opening in 2003, the Community Bank has helped ensure face-to-face banking services remain available across Elmore, Lockington and Rochester, while creating an important additional revenue stream for the district — with up to 80 per cent of profits returned to the community.
One major recipient of this support is the Elmore Field Days, with the Community Bank proudly backing the iconic event for more than 20 years.
The partnership has evolved considerably during that time.
Support has included funding for the popular Ag Art Competition, providing cash facilities during the event and, most recently, helping reinvigorate a pavilion with a new camp kitchen, landscaping, Wi-Fi and other improvements.
For the Community Bank, it’s about investing in an event that delivers benefits far beyond the field days themselves.
Each year, the event brings thousands of people to Elmore, showcases the region, supports local businesses and agriculture, and creates an opportunity for the community to come together.
Community Bank Elmore, Lockington and Rochester executive officer Lauren Ross said the long-standing partnership was particularly meaningful given the shared history of the two organisations.
