Shepparton Rodeo returns for another year of bucking, barrel racing and live music. The event is presented by the National Rodeo Championships and is a major stop for the Stampede Series, Australia’s largest rodeo circuit. Food and drink will be available as well as family-friendly activities including sideshow games and line dancing.

It’s a laid-back setting where fledging performers get to showcase their talent, whether singing, playing instruments or comedy, in front of a live audience. Performers usually get a short time slot to share their music, making it a diverse and inclusive platform for aspiring artists.

Goulburn Valley’s Sri Lankan community celebration
Greater Shepparton’s Sri Lankan community will gather to observe the new year of the traditional Sri Lankan calendar. The event is celebrated by Sinhala Buddhists and Tamil Hindus, and everyone is welcome to join in with the festivities. The celebration begins at 9.30am for the indoor portion of the event and will move outside after lunch. There will be traditional games and food, and the community will boil milk and light an oil lamp for prosperity and good health in the new year. Local Singhala students will perform a traditional song and dance.
