Former state and local government worker Mel Floyd is Fruit Growers Victoria’s new business development manager.

Chairman Mitchell McNab said the appointment would help the grower group implement its new strategy for improved member services, such as a focus on government grants, programs and relationships that would benefit the future growth of the industry.
‘‘Mel comes with a strong commercial background having worked for state and local government as well as the private sector in business development and customer service roles,’’ Mr McNab said.
Ms Floyd said she was looking forward to working with members and growers.
