The rams from Kurralea stud at Ariah Park, NSW, are well known for being very clean-faced with exceptional muscle.
"The higher the ratio of the eye muscle area in relation to the live weight of the animal the better," co-owner Tim Sammon said.
"This is where we get higher yielding lambs, which is very important when selling over the hooks.
"At today’s prices for every kilogram extra dressed weight per lamb the producer gains $8 per head."
There will be 100 rams up for sale.
"All sale rams are paddock-reared and, coming off the dry country, are very healthy," Mr Sammon said.
"Rams coming off irrigation or fed too much grain are very often tender in the feet.
"I am happy with the quality and condition of the rams on offer."
Anyone buying rams at the sale will be offered free delivery.
Stockscan figures will be available at the sale.
The Sammon Bros 35th annual Poll Dorset ram sale will be held on Friday, September 20 at Shepparton Regional Saleyards from 12.30pm.
Lunch will be provided from 11. 30am.
