Seed Force celebrated the official opening of its new national headquarters at Shepparton last week, with a manufacturing plant the major feature of the site.
The company hosted more than 110 guests at the Future Crt site, which replaces the old site on the corner of Drummond and Old Dookie Rds in Shepparton.
‘‘Shepparton was chosen as a good central hub and key transport route for the business to move seed efficiently around Australia,’’ Seed Force chair Warwick Green said.
The company’s group managing director Bruce Garrett said the $4million facility was needed to best serve customers.
‘‘We have invested heavily in expanding the capacity of our operation to ensure we can deliver to our customers’ expectations.
‘‘The new seed coating and treatment equipment, pallet racking, warehouse bin management, business software and bespoke office space means we can continue to do this as we grow.’’
Seed Force employs about 30 people nationally, with half of these located at the Shepparton office.
