Blue-green algae warning lifted for Nagambie Lakes system

By Rodney Woods

Goulburn-Murray Water has removed the blue-green algae warning for the entire Nagambie Lakes system, including Goulburn Weir, following a significant decline in blue-green algae levels.

The water corporation will continue to undertake water quality monitoring and if blue-green algae reach levels deemed unsafe by national health guidelines, another warning will be issued.

A blue-green algae warning remains current for Tullaroop Reservoir.
