The daughter of the 2018 International Dairy Week Best Udder Champion topped the prices at the complete dispersal sale of the Finley stud Hawova on November 28.
Hawova Favre Tamie’s daughter sold for $17 000 at Shepparton Regional Saleyards, as the Shaw family sold 266 head at an average of $2323 and grossed $618 000.
Lot 13, Hawova Windbrook Delia VG 89, sold for the second top price of $12 000.
Despite the current conditions, there was strong demand from buyers from north-east Victoria with Jeff Carver, from Tallangatta, purchasing 35 head for an average of $2447.
Corryong dairy farmer Gavin Wilson purchased 25 head for an average of $2330 and Mark Meyland, from Waaia, took home nine head for an average of $3044.
Flanagan Marketing Services and Mulcahy Nelson ran the sale.
