The sale was held on Auctions Plus last Thursday for Girgarre East vendor Marke Pastoral.
Licensed estate agent, registered water broker and auctioneer Michael Downie said the sale was extremely positive, as a result of low realistic reserve prices.
“The online clearing sale was more than 150 per cent above estimation, with prices we’ve never dreamed of,” Mr Downie said.
“The next one is booked in for Monday, June 22, and if we can, we're going to start having them on a monthly basis as a multi-vendor sale.”
The sale had 149 buyers, 338 lots and more than 9 614 catalogue views.
Mr Downie said taking good quality photos and videos, and adding as much information on the products to the website as possible, was the key to successful bidding.
As well as the presentation, Mr Downie also said the quality of the items on offer attributed to the favourable outcome of the sale.
“We were sceptical of how it would go at first, but due to COVID-19, we had to host an online clearing sale,” he said.
“The vendors were exhilarated with the results.”
